Bombyx Mori is the scientific name for a silkworm moth whose caterpillar has been used in silk production for thousands of years. Bombyx Mori species underwent complete domestication, and are no longer found in the wild.

A series of the same-name masks portray a hybrid of a human and an insect. The series is partly inspired by David Cronenberg's film The Fly.

The first Bombyx Mori mask was explicitly made for the live performance Feast at Como Contemporanea (Co Co), a former silk factory.
